These are collages made from magazines and linocuts. The linocuts in black and white were posted Monday , and hand-colored versions were posted earlier today. This is a project I lead at 3 elementary schools through the Wagner Free Institute of Science's SNAP(Science, Nature, and Art in Philadelphia) Program.
These are really interesting. I'm assuming that you're an art teacher at this school. What did the kids think about this?
ReplyDeleteI’m not an art teacher at the school. I’m an artist-in-residence at the Wagner free Institute of Science, and these were kids who I worked with in their science class making art that connected with the subject of ecology. The kids seem to have a lot of fun with it, and their science teacher was super enthusiastic.
