Documentation of the destruction of unsold copies of "Submission Fee No. 12" (burned). Also documentation of the block (gouged).

NOTES: Five copies of "No. 12" were created. One Artist Proof has been archived (NFS), two were sold. The revenue totaled $15. which exceeded the fee, and so an application including this print was submitted to Light, Space & Time Online Art Gallery's 3rd Annual "Patterns, Textures & Forms" Art Competition. The last two were destroyed as documented here.

Another trend with submission fees for artists is to charge a variety of fees for a number of reasons. The opportunity referenced by this print had a rather elaborate set of fees:
$10 for student applicants submitting 1-2 images
$20 for student applicants submitting 2-5 images
$12 for applicants submitting 1-2 images by an early deadline
$22 for applicants submitting 3-5 images by an early deadline
$14 for applicants submitting 1-2 images by the final deadline
$24 for applicants submitting 3-5 images by the final deadline 

Interesting choice to give a discount to students considering that struggling adult artists, especially those working one or more day jobs or who have dependents, aren't more likely to have cash to spare than college students.

The $14 price point is selected because the early submission date has passed and if I do sell this print for at least $14, the submission I send will only include one image. This one.
